This FAQ lists the frequently asked questions we receive, as well as those we think are worth noting here.

Note: In this FAQ, The Daily CatchUp is abbreviated as TDC.

How many times does TDC update the news?

We try to update at least 3 times a day.

Does TDC schedule news spread over more than one day?

News we find is reported within 24 hours, without holding back any articles for the next day(s).
Depending on the amount of news, we have more or less in any one update. So for example we can have 9 items scheduled over 3 periods during the day, but we can also have only 2 items scheduled in the same time frame.

Does TDC only publish news during business hours?

Yes and No.
No because there are different timezones throughout the world, business hours therefore also differ.
Yes because certain items are scheduled to appear as the ‘main’ (or ‘featured’) item because of the time zone. TDC tries to target its news by time zone as an added service for the community. For example, if we find a job vacancy in Asia in which Google SketchUp experience is mentioned, we will publish that item as featured news story when business hours start in Asia. This is to ascertain maximum exposure.

Does TDC report news older than 1 day?

Generally speaking, we find most Google SketchUp news posted around the world from within 24 hours. If we miss something beyond 72 hours we don’t report on it anymore in most cases.
TDC strives to be as up-to-date as possible.

Does TDC report updates to plug-ins?

When a new plug-in has just been released, it is prone to receive frequent updates to it as a result of user feedback. We take into account that most people will simply keep checking the topic in which the plug-in is being announced for about a week. Usually after this time updates to the plug-in become less frequent.
Updates to a plug-in are reported either after one week, or before that time if the plug-in has received significant changes and/or additions to it.
This policy prevents publishing ‘filler’ content.

Does TDC report news other than Google SketchUp?

No. Everything we report is either directly or indirectly involved with Google SketchUp.

If I have some Google SketchUp news for publication on TDC, where can I submit it?

We always welcome news from people.

I want to advertise on TDC, how can I do this?
